Basic Requirements for Submitting Plans
RequirementsEach application for a Building Permit shall include a completed
Permit Application, plans, and specifications as follows:
Single / Multiple Family Dwellings and Residential Additions
- Six complete sets of plans (two stamped and signed by a design professional)
- Five sets of grading and erosion control plans (if applicable)
- Two sets of energy calculations (Title 24)
- Two sets of structural calculations
- Two geotechnical reports (if applicable)
- Two sets of truss calculations (if applicable)
Residential Remodels (up to 500 sq. ft.)
- Three complete sets of plans
- Two sets of energy calculations (Title 24)
- Two sets of structural calculations (if applicable)
Residential Decks, Patio Covers, and Sheds
- Three complete sets of plans, including:
- A plot plan showing location and setbacks
- Elevations showing side view and top view
- Footing and framing details
New Commercial and Industrial
- Six sets of complete plans (two stamped and signed by a design professional)
- Six sets of grading and erosion control plans (if applicable)
- Two sets of energy calculations (Title 24)
- Two sets of structural calculations
- Two geotechnical reports (if applicable)
- One original, signed Hazardous Materials Disclosure Form
- One sampling report for hazardous material impact (if applicable)
Tenant Improvements
- Six complete sets of plans (two stamped and signed by a design professional)
- Two sets of energy calculations (Title 24)
- Two sets of structural calculations (if applicable)
- Two geotechnical reports (if applicable)
- One original, signed Hazardous Materials Disclosure Form
