How to Register to Vote
Overview
You must re-register to vote whenever you move. In order to be eligible to vote, you must meet the following criteria:
  • You must be a citizen of the United States.
  • You must be a resident of California.
  • You must be 18 years of age, or older, as of the day of the next election vote.
  • You must NOT be in prison or on parole for a felony conviction.
  • You must be registered 15 days prior to the election in which you wish to vote. You will be sent a Voter Notification Card to confirm your registration. If you do NOT receive a Voter Notification Card, call the County Clerk/Registrar of Voters at (408) 299-8302.
  • You must be a citizen of Morgan Hill to vote in local elections.

Voter registration forms can be downloaded from the Registrar of Voters Web site. You may also pick up a voter registration form at the City Clerk's Office at Morgan Hill City Hall or the Registrar of Voters' office located in San Jose, CA.
