Major City Efforts:
Butterfield South Extension. The project was awarded to RGW and construction started in December 2012 with a cost of roughly $14M.  Construction is approximately 50% complete. We anticipate that the new roadway will be open in late January 2013. The bridge is currently being constructed over railroad Avenue and the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks. Watsonville Road and Monterey Road intersection is also under heavy construction for roadway re-alignment and a new traffic signal. The drainage channel is complete with the large detention basin at 80% complete. To learn more.

City Council Background Policy Papers.

General Plan Update - Morgan Hill 2035. The City of Morgan Hill is embarking upon a major planning process, called Morgan Hill 2035, to help guide development and conservation in the city over the next 20 years. To learn more and get involved please visit our project website. The General Plan Update (GPU) will include many opportunities for citizen involvement, including community workshops and meetings of a General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC). People are invited to attend these meetings, and the schedule will be posted on this website soon. To learn more.

El Toro Trail. The proposed El Toro Trail will provide a non-paved public trail meeting City Trail Study guidelines to the top of El Toro Mountain. Project will be phased to take advantage of City-owned property and to maximize coordination with the Open Space Authority (OSA). To learn more.
