The City of Morgan Hill has embarked on a major effort to enhance downtown as the social, entertainment and specialty shopping district, and has issued a Request for Qualified Developers (RFQ) to select a development team for a mixed-use project, or projects, that could range from $10 million to more than $200 million.
 
A Downtown Specific Plan and Master Environmental Impact Report are moving towards adoption and certification in November and on September 29, 2009, a Request For Qualified Developers (RFQ) was released with the deadline to submit responses set for December 14, 2009 at 4:00 PM PST.
